NTFS Master

v LATEST STABLE
Native external-drive workspace for macOS

Read, write and organize NTFS drives on your Mac.

NTFS Master combines a built-in FSKit filesystem extension with verified file transfers,
storage insights and a focused workspace for external drives. No separate macFUSE or
Homebrew installation is required for the Mac App Store edition.

What it does

Practical tools for external storage

Work with an NTFS volume in Finder and use NTFS Master when you want guided transfers,
drive information or a clearer view of what is using space.

Built-in NTFS editing

Browse, read, create, edit, resize, move, rename and delete ordinary files and folders on writable NTFS volumes.

Verified transfers

Copy files with progress, pause, resume and cancel controls. Optional SHA-256 verification checks the copied result.

Overwrite protection

Choose to retain a backup before replacing an existing destination file.

Storage insights

Find large files and identify byte-for-byte duplicate files without uploading their contents.

Drive overview

Review capacity, free space, filesystem, writable state and other details available inside the macOS sandbox.

Menu-bar access

Keep selected external volumes close at hand and open mounted drives in Finder.

Compatibility

NTFS write support, plus familiar Mac formats

The included FSKit extension specifically provides NTFS access. NTFS Master can also manage
files on other external volumes that macOS has already mounted using native or compatible filesystems.

Format How access is provided NTFS Master use
NTFS Built-in NTFS Master FSKit extension Read and write*
exFAT and FAT Native macOS support Manage user-selected mounted volumes
APFS and Mac OS Extended Native macOS support Manage user-selected mounted volumes
UDF and compatible third-party formats macOS or an installed compatible driver Manage user-selected mounted volumes when writable

*A Windows-hibernated, inconsistent, damaged, encrypted, unsupported or hardware write-protected
NTFS volume may remain read-only or be refused for writable mounting to protect its data.

System requirement: macOS 15.4 or later. The Mac App Store edition does not
format disks, create NTFS partitions, perform full filesystem repairs, or create symbolic or hard links.
Getting started

Enable the extension once, then connect your drive

  1. Install and open NTFS Master. Install the current version from the Mac App Store.
  2. Enable the filesystem extension. Open System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions → File System Extensions and enable NTFS Master.
  3. Reconnect the NTFS drive. Disconnect it safely, connect it again and allow macOS a moment to mount it.
  4. Grant app access. In NTFS Master, choose “Choose external drive,” select the volume at the top level and choose Open.
  5. Start working. Use NTFS Master or Finder to manage files on the mounted volume.
Support

Help with NTFS Master

Review the answers below first. If the problem continues, contact support with enough detail
to reproduce it, but do not send confidential files or passwords.

My NTFS drive is not detected. What should I check?
  1. Confirm that the drive appears in Apple’s Disk Utility.
  2. Verify that the Mac is running macOS 15.4 or later.
  3. Enable NTFS Master in File System Extensions under System Settings.
  4. Reconnect the drive and reopen NTFS Master.
  5. Choose “Choose external drive” in NTFS Master and select the mounted volume.
  6. If this is the first installation of the extension, restart the Mac and try again.
Why is an NTFS drive still read-only?

The media may be hardware write-protected, damaged, inconsistent or left in Windows Fast Startup/
hibernation state. Connect it to Windows, shut Windows down fully and use Windows disk checking if
the operating system reports errors. Do not force writable access to an unsafe volume.

Does the Mac App Store edition need macFUSE or Homebrew?

No. It contains its own sandboxed FSKit extension and NTFS runtime. macOS still requires you to enable the filesystem extension in System Settings.

Can NTFS Master format a disk as NTFS?

No. The Mac App Store edition manages files on mounted volumes but does not format, repartition or fully repair disks.

Does NTFS Master upload or inspect my files online?

No. Selected files, transfer verification and storage analysis are processed locally on the Mac. The app contains no advertising, tracking or analytics SDK.

How should I protect important data?

Keep an independent backup, allow transfers to finish, and eject removable storage before disconnecting it.
No filesystem utility can eliminate risks caused by failing hardware, unsafe removal, power loss or pre-existing corruption.

How do I request a refund?

Mac App Store purchases and refund requests are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

App policy

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how NTFS Master, published by Sukhesh Chandra Sekharan
(“NTFS Master,” “we,” “us” or “our”), handles information when you use the NTFS Master
macOS application or visit this support page.

2. App data collection

NTFS Master does not require an account and does not collect or transmit personal data,
file contents, filenames, drive contents, usage analytics, advertising identifiers,
diagnostic telemetry or location information to the developer or to an analytics service.
The app does not track users across apps or websites and does not contain advertising SDKs.

3. Local file access and processing

NTFS Master accesses only drives and folders that you explicitly select through macOS,
together with block resources that macOS supplies to the enabled FSKit extension. File
operations, SHA-256 transfer verification and storage analysis occur locally on your Mac.
NTFS Master does not upload selected files or analysis results.

4. Information stored locally

The app may store the following information inside its macOS sandbox:

  • Security-scoped bookmarks that remember access to drives you selected.
  • Preferences such as monitoring, notification, transfer-verification and overwrite-backup choices.
  • Per-drive settings associated with a local volume identifier.

This information remains on your Mac and is used only to provide app functionality. Files
created, changed or backed up on a selected drive remain on that drive under your control.

5. Notifications

If you permit notifications, NTFS Master may show local drive-connection and safe-removal
reminders. Notification permission can be changed at any time under System Settings → Notifications.

6. Support communications

If you contact support, we receive the email address, message and attachments you voluntarily
provide. We use this information only to respond, investigate the issue, prevent abuse and meet
legal obligations. Do not send passwords, confidential files, full disk images or unnecessary
personal information. Support messages are retained only as reasonably necessary for those purposes
and may be deleted earlier upon a valid request unless retention is legally required.

7. Website hosting information

The hosting provider for this WordPress site may process standard technical logs such as IP address,
browser type, requested page, timestamp and security events to deliver and protect the website.
This page does not intentionally use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If analytics,
advertising, contact-form plugins or other data-collecting services are introduced, this policy must
be updated before those services are used.

8. Third parties

App downloads, purchases, updates and related store diagnostics are handled by Apple under Apple’s
own terms and privacy policy. The app includes an NTFS runtime derived from open-source NTFS-3G code;
it is used locally for filesystem operations and does not provide an analytics or advertising service.
We do not sell personal data or share app data with advertisers or data brokers.

9. Retention, deletion and privacy choices

Because the app does not maintain a developer-operated user account or remote database, there is no
remote app profile to delete. You can revoke filesystem-extension or file access through System Settings.
To remove locally saved bookmarks and preferences completely, quit NTFS Master, uninstall it and remove
its sandbox container at ~/Library/Containers/com.sukheshcs.NTFSMaster. This does not delete
files stored on your external drives.

To request deletion of support correspondence, email
support@online247now.com
with the subject “NTFS Master Privacy Request.” We may need to verify that the request came from the
address associated with the correspondence.

10. Children’s privacy

NTFS Master is a general-purpose storage utility and is not directed to children. The app does not
knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Security

NTFS Master uses App Sandbox, user-selected access and macOS filesystem-extension controls to limit
access. No security measure or storage device can be guaranteed to be completely error-free or secure,
so users should maintain independent backups of important data.

12. Policy changes

We may update this policy when the app, website or legal requirements change. The revised date will be
displayed at the top of this section. Material changes will be described clearly on this page.

13. Privacy contact

Questions or requests concerning this policy may be sent to
support@online247now.com.

Terms of Use and Important Disclosures

Effective and last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Agreement and license

By downloading or using NTFS Master, you agree to these disclosures and the license terms applicable
to your Mac App Store purchase. Unless a custom license is presented by the App Store, use of the app
is governed by
Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

2. Intended use

NTFS Master is a general-purpose utility for accessing and managing user-selected external storage.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to access or modify the files and devices you use.

3. Backups and removable-media risks

Filesystem operations can be affected by failing hardware, damaged media, pre-existing corruption,
unsafe disconnection, power loss, operating-system defects or incompatible software. Maintain an
independent, tested backup of important information before modifying any drive. Complete transfers and
eject removable storage safely before disconnecting it.

4. Windows Fast Startup and hibernation

Do not write to an NTFS volume that Windows left hibernated or in an unsafe state. Shut Windows down
completely, disable Fast Startup when necessary and use Windows disk-repair tools if Windows reports
filesystem errors. NTFS Master may refuse writable mounting when doing so is safer for the volume.

5. Functional limitations

Compatibility can vary with storage hardware, adapters, NTFS features, encryption, permissions and
filesystem condition. The Mac App Store edition does not format or repartition disks, perform full NTFS
repair, bypass encryption, remove Windows hibernation information, or create symbolic or hard links.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use NTFS Master to access data without authorization, violate another person’s rights,
distribute malicious content, circumvent security controls or perform unlawful activity. You may not
reverse engineer the app except where applicable law or an applicable open-source license expressly permits it.

7. Open-source components

NTFS Master includes open-source components. Their notices and license terms are included with the app
and apply to those components independently. Nothing in these terms limits rights granted by an applicable
open-source license.

8. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NTFS Master is provided “as is” and “as available,”
without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation,
compatibility with every device, or recovery of damaged or deleted data. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental,
special or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including loss of data, business interruption
or device failure. Any limitation that is prohibited in your jurisdiction does not apply to you.

10. Changes and contact

These terms may be updated to reflect app, legal or operational changes. Questions may be sent to
support@online247now.com.
