Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. How do I write or draw notes on a puzzle? Tap the Pencil icon in the top toolbar to enable drawing mode. You can now use your finger or Apple Pencil to write directly on the canvas. Tap it again to disable drawing so you can zoom and scroll.

2. Does the app support Apple Pencil Pro gestures? Yes!

• Double-Tap: Switch back and forth between your active drawing brush and the eraser.
• Squeeze: Cycle brush stroke colors instantly.

3. What is the “Mistake Box” on my dashboard? When you answer a puzzle incorrectly during practice, the app automatically saves it to your Mistake Box. This lets you revise your errors. Once you solve them correctly in practice, they will graduate out of the Mistake Box.

4. How is my Spatial IQ estimated? After completing a Timed Mock Exam, the app evaluates your final score (accuracy) and how fast you solved the test. Based on Wechsler scale averages, it projects an estimated IQ score (ranging from 70 to 145).

5. Is my progress data shared or uploaded? No. PatternMinds is built with privacy in mind. All your records, drawings, and stats are saved locally on your device’s SwiftData storage. No progress leaves your device.

At PatternMinds, we take user privacy seriously. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. Below are the details of how our application handles data:

1. Local Data Storage

All user data—including completed stages, incorrect answers (Mistake Box), test scores, and bookmarks—is stored locally and securely on your device using Apple’s native SwiftData framework. No data is sent to external servers.

2. Scratchpad Drawings

Any annotations, sketches, or drawings made using the pencil scratchpad on the puzzle pages are saved strictly locally to the device’s internal sandbox. We do not collect or monitor your drawings.

3. Third-Party Analytics

The app does not contain third-party tracking, advertising, analytics SDKs, or data brokers. Your progress stats are calculated entirely offline.

4. Children’s Privacy

Our app is fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because we do not collect any personal information, the app is 100% safe for students and young learners.
